Gostaria de informar a todo nosso público conterrâneo que em breve City Rain BS estará sendo lançado no Brasil. Sua versão em puro e sincero Português está pronta. No entanto no Brasil não surgiu ainda a possibilidade que tivemos nos estados unidos com a empresa IGN (detentora do site www.direct2drive.com ) de distribuição do Game. É muito custoso e trabalhoso para nós criarmos nosso próprio sistema de vendas para o público brasileiro, com isso estamos na espera de quem se ofereça para vender City Rain BS no BRASIL.

Estamos em negociação com uma empresa de Londrina para realizar o feito. Mas nada confirmado Confirmado, Aguardem lançamento do portal em Março.

Desejamos que o mais breve possível o City Rain BS possa ser vendido aqui e em R$eais!

We didn’t made a post when we won the IGF Student Showcase because this blog wasn’t ready at the date. Now that our site was released,  consequently this blog was updated too. So, why not to make a post about this Festival!

Think Services (producer of Game Developer magazine, Gamasutra.com, and the Game Developers Conference) established the Independent Games Festival in 1998 to encourage innovation in game development and to recognize the best independent game developers.

They wanted to create a similar event to Sundance for independent game developers – and that’s just what they have succeeded in doing with the Independent Games Festival, which has awarded hundred of thousands of dollars in cash prizes (and brought major exposure and a much higher profile) to a multitude of indie and student game developers who enter.

City Rain BS entered this competition and won the Student Category. Now we will travel to San Francisco and show all we’ve got in the GDC! Hope you hear good new from us soon

I’m Túlio Soria, member of Mother Gaia Studio which created City Rain.

This blog is a channel that players of City Rain can use to communicate with us , the developers! =)

In this first post, I will try to explain what is City Rain. Let’s go:

Can you imagine a mix of Tetris and Sim City? (video) We, from Mother Gaia Studio, have already done that, adding to this game a flavor of ecology too. This game won a two internationally competition (Imagine Cup and Games for change 2008).

In this fun and exciting game, the player joins the unique experience of being a mayor of a city that, like all others, grows in an unpredictable way. As the mayor, the player will be challenged to take fast decisions that provide sustainable development and quality of life to its residents, scoring more and staying more time in the mayor’s seat.

Complicated? Not a bit! City Rain has simple mechanics: the building fall from de sky, or “rain”, randomly and it’s the player’s duty to choose where is the best place to put them.

And now we are making a new version of City Rain, with lots of new features:City Rain BS! It will be released soon.
